How to choose funeral flowers:
Casket Sprays : casket sprays are generally ordered by the person(s) who are most closely related to the deceased. This is commonly wife/husband, child(ren), siblings or sometimes a close friend. For women, soft, feminine colors are usually chosen, but all white, or a bright mix of colors may be more appropriate and would reflect better your loved one's personality. Sometimes a seasonal arrangement is best such as Spring flowers, Autumn flowers or Christmas greens and flowers. Bolder colors are the most common for men, but all white or blue, red, or yellow and white or a bright mix or seasonal colors may be selected. Banners can be included on the casket spray if desired. The banner wording is the relationship of the deceased to you, for example Mother, Mom, Brother, Beloved Husband, Etc. We hand create our banners so you can use a nickname for your loved one or another language (Memere, Tia, etc.). Some prefer no banner at all, which is perfectly acceptable. We can also attach a card to the spray if desired.
Casket Pieces: Pieces that are placed inside the casket are usually ordered by the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc. these can include small satin hearts, crosses, pillows, bouquets or wreaths. A banner and/or card may be attached.
Standing Pieces: standing sprays, standing hearts, standing wreaths and standing crosses are large pieces usually placed on an easel. Often close relatives, friends and coworkers will order these pieces. Usually a banner and/or card is attached. These pieces are often color-coordinated with the casket pieces.
Basket Sprays: Basket sprays are generally ordered by family, relatives, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. These arrangements can vary greatly in size and we design them for varying budgets. A banner and/or card are usually attached. We only use wicker baskets, not plastic or mache containers.
Vases: vase arrangements can vary greatly in size and cost. Again, a banner and/or card is usually attached. Smaller vases are sometimes taken home by the family.
Plant Baskets: Some of our customers want to send green plant baskets. Our plant baskets are most often decorated with ribbon and a touch of fresh flowers to add additional color. Plumb Farms Flowers can create a basket for most any budget.
